Encounters on a small scale
This series is dedicated to the inconspicuous moments and details that often remain hidden. The focus is on motifs that only reveal their special charm upon closer inspection: the pattern of a leaf, the dew on a blade of grass, the delicate textures of a spider's web, or the play of light on an unspectacular surface.
Encounters in the small are encounters with the diversity and depth of the everyday. They remind us that the great and significant can often be found in the inconspicuous. Philosophical approaches such as Zen or Wabi Sabi teach us to linger in the moment and recognize the beauty in the simple. In these photographs, the seemingly insignificant becomes the main protagonist and opens up new perspectives on the world.
The series encourages us to focus our attention on details and to open ourselves to what is easily overlooked at first glance. This creates silent encounters in which the small unfolds its own poetry and the familiar appears in a new light.
