transience
This series is dedicated to the signs of transience and the quiet magic of impermanence. The focus is on motifs that reveal the passage of time: withered leaves, decaying structures, traces of erosion, or the gradual disappearance of once-living forms. The photographs capture moments in which beauty and dissolution meet.
Transience is a fundamental principle of nature and life. It reminds us that all becoming is inextricably linked to transience. There is a quiet melancholy, but also consolation, in contemplating these motifs: transience creates space for the new, change is a prerequisite for development. Inspired by philosophical movements such as wabi-sabi, which understand the imperfect and transient as a source of beauty, the images invite us to appreciate the fleeting.
Each photograph is an invitation to mindfully perceive the traces of time and to discover meaning and poetry in the process of transience. In this way, transience is experienced not only as a loss, but also as part of a larger cycle.
