Shapes and textures

This series focuses on the diverse patterns, orders, and textures hidden in nature as well as in man-made objects. Structures often only reveal themselves upon closer inspection: in the interweaving of branches, the cracks in a surface, the repetition of lines, or the subtle interplay of light and shadow.
From a philosophical perspective, structures are an expression of the inner structure and the laws that underlie everything visible. They connect the individual with the whole, the random with the necessary. In nature, structures emerge through growth, change, and time—they tell of development, adaptation, and transience. Human interventions also leave their own patterns and traces.
The photographs encourage us to see the world as a web of relationships and connections. By concentrating on detail, the hidden becomes visible, and the seemingly everyday reveals its own beauty and complexity. Each photograph offers the opportunity to engage with the language of structures and discover the larger in the small.
