The series “Fragile Bodies” focuses on small plants and delicate forms growing in harsh environments: grasses in scree, spring flowers in lingering snow, individual leaves in water.

These motifs form a counterpoint to the heavy, solid landscapes. They show how delicate structures assert themselves within the pressure field of their surroundings. It is important to me not to present this fragility sentimentally, but rather as a stark observation.
